Vinicius Jr attempt to move up from the left flank, taking on two Celta defenders and still successfully putting in a cross. It comes to Arda Guler, and the youngster attempts an audacious scissor kick, but it catches his shin, and it flies not too high up from the bar.

Yoel Lago almost gives Celta the lead after Marcos Alonso came close a minute ago. Raul Asencio's timely intervention prevents Borja Iglesias from getting a shot off, but the resulting corner finds Lago. The youngster's header is saved by Thibaut Courtois, who dived to his right and got a strong hand to it.

The wing-backs of Celta Vigo have dropped back, making a five-man defence for the visitors. There is no space on the flanks, forcing Vini to come inside and pass it to Lucas Vazquez. His cross is good, but Guaita punches it away.

No attacking momentum for Real Madrid at the moment, but the home side are still comfortable in the final third, with little coming from the visitor's attackers.

A terrific goal from Arda Guler gives us the breakthrough. It coms from a corner kick, and the youngster plays a one-two with Lucas Vazquez and then hits it with his left foot. It gets a slight deflection from Marcos Alonso, which takes it beyong Guaita's reach towards the top corner.

This was the first short corner of the game from Real Madrid, and it breaks down Celta's defence.

Madrid double their advantage, as Kylian Mbappe gets the second through a terrific counter attacking move. Bellingham gets some space in midfield, and he feeds Mbappe, who shoots from the left edge of the box to beat Guaita.

Bellingham now leads the assists chart for Real Madrid, with eight assists so far in hte league, while Mbappe has 23 goals to his name.

Celta are well and truly back into the game. The substitutes combine as Iago Aspas, who came on just a minute ago, plays a left-footed through ball to Williot Swedberg, and the Swede beats the offside trap and finishes it past Courtois to give make it 3-2.

Another terrific through ball from Iago Aspas, mimicing the one that lead to Swedberg's goal. This time it's for Pablo Duran, who hits it low and hard, almost crawling under Courtois, but the Belgian holds on to it in the second time of asking.

The Bernabeu crowd is audibly annoyed by Madrid's slender lead against Celta Vigo, but the home side are trying their best to get the fourth goal before full time. A nice play between Brahim Diaz and Fran Garcia reaches Bellingham, but the midfielder makes the angle too acute, and his shot is over the bar.

Meanwhile, Celta Vigo break forward, and it falls to Iago Aspar on the edge of the box, but his shot is a bit central and poses no difficulty for Courtois.
