Bihar set the highest List A total ever with a staggering 574/6 in Ranchi
Three centurions, Suryavanshi, Gani, and Loharuka, powered a record-breaking batting display
The previous mark of 506/2 by Tamil Nadu was comprehensively eclipsed
Bihar delivered a batting performance for the ages at the JSCA Oval Ground in Ranchi, producing a scoreline that almost defies belief. In a Plate Group clash of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025–26 against Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar piled up a staggering 574/6, rewriting the history books and setting the highest total ever recorded in List A cricket.
What made the achievement even more striking was the context. The previous List A record belonged to Tamil Nadu, who had smashed 506/2 against the same opponent, Arunachal Pradesh in 2022.

Three years later, Bihar didn’t just edge past that mark, they obliterated it. The Ranchi crowd witnessed something truly special as Bihar crossed milestone after milestone, eventually finishing nearly 70 runs clear of the old world record.
Suryavanshi, Gani And Loharuka Power Historic Innings
The innings was headlined by three sensational centuries. Vaibhav Suryavanshi, just 14 years old, played a knock that felt like a glimpse into the future, hammering 190 off 84 balls with fearless strokeplay. His dismissal briefly paused the momentum, but only briefly.
Captain Sakibul Gani ensured there was no slowdown, blasting 128 not out from just 40 deliveries, while wicketkeeper Ayush Loharuka added his own fireworks with a rapid 116 off 56 balls. Together, the trio turned an excellent batting display into a historic one.
The final numbers tell the story: 38 sixes, relentless pressure on the bowlers, and a run rate touching 11.5 per over across the entire innings. Arunachal Pradesh, despite rotating their bowlers and adjusting fields, simply couldn’t stem the tide. It was domination in its purest form, with Bihar looking a class apart for most of the afternoon.
