India's Nitish Kumar Reddy has suffered a knee injury which has ruled him out of the rest of the Test series against England.
He had featured in the last two Tests, with England holding a 2-1 lead over India ahead of their fourth meeting at Old Trafford, which begins on Wednesday.
Reddy struggled to make an impact in India's emphatic win at Edgbaston to level the series, taking no wickets and managing just two runs across his innings.
However, he had a more telling impact at Lord's, despite suffering defeat, finishing with bowling figures of 3-82 in the match and contributing a combined 43 runs across his two stands.
The BCCI have confirmed he will now fly home to continue his rehabilitation.
India are also without seamer Arshdeep Singh for the fourth Test, having been ruled out with a thumb injury.
Arshdeep, who has not featured in any of the Tests so far, remains uncapped and will be monitored by the medical team.
Akash Deep, meanwhile, is fit enough to be included in the squad, but remains a doubt after reports of a groin niggle. He took 10 wickets in the second Test at Edgbaston, including a six-for in the second innings.
India have added uncapped all-rounder Anshul Kamboj to their squad as injury cover.
It remains to be seen if Jasprit Bumrah will feature in Manchester as India continue to manage his workload. He was earmarked for three Tests and has played in the first and third Tests so far.
India squad for fourth Test: Shubman Gill (captain), Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Sai Sudharsan, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Karun Nair, Ravindra Jadeja, Dhruv Jurel (wicketkeeper), Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Akash Deep, Kuldeep Yadav, Anshul Kamboj.
