Real Madrid 1-2 Valencia: Vinicius Misses Again As Los Blancos Slip Up In La Liga Title Race

Real Madrid’s La Liga title hopes took a hit as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Valencia at home. Vinicius Junior missed a ninth-minute penalty--his second spot-kick failure in under a month--before making amends with a second-half equaliser. Valencia had already taken the lead through Mouctar Diakhaby’s header in the 15th minute, and Hugo Duro’s stoppage-time winner sealed a dramatic three points for the visitors. The loss leaves Los Blancos three points behind Barcelona, who now have a game in hand and a chance to go six clear.
