The Uttarakhand Madarsa Board on Tuesday announced that Operation Sindoor will be included in its curriculum up to the Alia (intermediate) level. The students will be learning about how India’s military engagement destroyed terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in response to the Pahalgam attack that occurred on April 22, claiming 26 lives.

While making the announcement, Board chairman Mufti Shamoon Qasmi asserted Pakistan to be a nefarious country and said that, “We will include the saga of successful Operation Sindoor in madrasas so that the children studying in our madarsas can know what this operation was and why it was needed.”

Uttarakhand houses 451 madarsas and approximately 50000 student population across which the decision will be implemented.

A committee meeting of the board will soon be scheduled to integrate the operation into the curriculum. Qasmi also claimed that work is being done to integrate madarsas with the mainstream in Uttarakhand. In accordance with this integration,  NCERT curriculum has been implemented in several madarsas of the state.
