The protests against the government over the ongoing financial crisis have not ended despite the resignation of its ministers and the appointment of an advisory panel to engage with international organisations such as the International Monetary Fund to bail out the country.
Sri Lanka is going through its worst financial crisis at the moment that's rooted in acute shortage of foreign exchange. Prices of commodities have risen and there is shortage of vehicular fuel, cooking gas, foodstuffs, and even thermal fuel for electricity generation.
