Elon Musk Claps Back At Trump’s Jibe Over ‘American Party’: 'What’s Truth Social?'

After Elon Musk's public dissatisfaction with Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill, the ongoing feud between the two intensified after Trump launched a fresh attack on 'Truth Social' to which the Tesla CEO responded on X, stating that he had never heard of ‘Truth Social’.

US President Donald Trump took to X and criticised SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk for floating a third American Party and further took a swipe at the 'Truth Social' platform. Shortly after Trump’s latest attack, in a series of tweets, Musk wrote, "What's Truth Social? Never heard of it."

In another post, he added that his America Party was needed to fight the "Republican/Democrat Uniparty" and that it was the solution.

Musk’s response on X comes after a user shared Trump’s latest rant against the former advisor. In the post, the US president referred to the Tesla boss as a “trainwreck” for trying to start a third party.

In response to Trump’s post, Musk claimed he had “never heard” of Truth Social.

Musk, who was one of the biggest donors for Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign, had previously claimed that the president’s social media platform, Truth Social, was beating out X and TikTok on the Apple Store.

Trump Calls Musk A 'Train Wreck'

In his post, Trump called Musk a “train wreck” who had gone “completely off the rails” over the “past five weeks”.  Trump posted on his Truth Social platform, saying, “I am saddened to watch Elon Musk go completely off the rails."

He added that the former advisor even wanted to start a Third Political Party, despite the fact that they had never succeeded in the United States - "The System seems not designed for them."

Trump further stated that Musk was unhappy because the bill scrapped the EV Mandate, which took away green-energy credits for Tesla’s electric vehicles.

"It is a Great Bill but, unfortunately for Elon, it eliminates the ridiculous Electric Vehicle (EV) Mandate, which would have forced everyone to buy an Electric Car in a short period of time", he said.

Musk Continues America Party Campaign

Amid the back and forth with Trump, Elon Musk has continued to create the momentum for his new ‘America Party’ with a series of posts and reactions on X.

In a post shared shortly after claiming he had never heard of Truth Social, Elon Musk reiterated the need for the "America Party" to counter what he called the “Republican/Democrat uniparty.”

Musk has also been outspoken about his distrust and dissatisfaction with the so-called “Big, Beautiful Bill,” which is cited as a key reason for floating the idea of launching a third party to “save the middle man.”

Despite multiple posts referencing the concept, the America Party has not yet been officially registered with the Federal Election Commission.
