Actor-filmmaker Anupam Kher, who is making his directorial comeback with Tanvi The Great, hosted a special screening for President of India, Droupadi Murmu, at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Taking to his Instagram handle, Anupam shared pics and video from the event.

Anupam was joined at the event by debutant Shubhangi Dutt, who plays the lead role of Tanvi Raina, co-actors Boman Irani, and Karan Tacker. Sharing the pics, Kher wrote, "HON. PRESIDENT OF INDIA WATCHES #TANVITHEGREAT: It was an ultimate moment of pride for us to have the President and the Supreme Commander of the Indian Armed Forces watch our film! The 70-year-old actor also shared a video with a caption, "President Droupadi Murmu watched the film ‘Tanvi The Great’ at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre. The film gives the message of inclusion through the story of a young autistic girl who fulfills her dream with resolve and resilience. Shri Anupam Kher, the director of the film was also present at the screening with members of his cast and crew (sic)".
Tanvi The Great, which was also screened at Cannes this year, is an inspiring journey of hope, determination, and resilience. It revolves around the story of Tanvi, an autistic girl, who dreams to serve the Indian army, with the help of her grandfather (played by Kher). The trailer has been praised by several celebs.
The film has been produced by Anupam Kher Studios in collaboration with the NFDC. It also stars Jackie Shroff, Pallavi Joshi, Arvind Swami, Nasser and Game of Thrones actor Iain Glen. Oscar-winner MM Keeravaani has composed the music of the film. It is all set to hit the screens on July 18, 2025.
