After enough anticipation, the trailer of 'Fighter' unveiled, which has left audiences wanting even more. The Siddharth Anand-directorial, in the first month of 2024, has gone on to become one of the most-awaited films of the year. Starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles, the film promises many action sequences, and is touted to be India's first aerial actioner film.

While the movie is set to release on the coming Thursday, fans have been eager to see their favourite stars promoting their film. However, Deepika had earlier indicated that she would not be joining her cast in any of the promotional activities, which left fans disappointed. But now, the director revealed why that is so.

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Anand revealed that it's all a part of the plan. He said it's a strategic plan to build further anticipation, and also confirmed Deepika's active role in promotions beginning today. He said, "This is a promotional strategy that we have taken... People put a lot of conjectures into things."

Speaking about the absence from the trailer launch, he said, "Deepika was supposed to come for the trailer launch, but she was under the weather. And now she is going to be everywhere; our strategy is such."

The director, who has worked with Hrithik and Deepika in 'War' and 'Pathaan' respectively, is excited to see the two superstars work together for the first time. He considers their pairing to be a "major highlight" of the entire film. He added, "So, I can imagine that even the audience is waiting for (her). You will start seeing them closer to the release. Also, we didn’t want too much of Hrithik and Deepika before the release. We wanted people to enjoy them on the big screen. We didn’t want that saturation." This deliberate strategy is solely to have some surprises about their on-screen chemistry, which they want audiences to enjoy.
