Recently, during the promotional event of Mannara Chopra's upcoming film 'Thiragabadara Saami', director AS Ravi Kumar forcibly kissed the actress without her consent. The incident took everyone by surprise as well as Mannara as she was also not expecting it. After the video went viral, many slammed the director for such behaviour in public. Later, the 'Zid' actress shared a post on her Instagram handle and now she has opened up about the entire incident in detail.
Recently, she was spotted at the airport and was asked about the incident. To which she said, "Whatever news is getting viral, I think the director loved my work in the film. They keep calling me even when we are not shooting. I think he just got overexcited. I was taken by surprise by the way the video picked up."

She further said, "My film is releasing. It is a good film and I am so looking forward to its release. Whatever the incident was, he just did it out of excitement. There are times when people get excited and don't realise what they are doing. I have always loved the South industry. People have always loved me there. I don't think he had any wrong intentions."
