Arshad Warsi’s Jeevan Bheema Yojana has postponed its theatrical release by a week, with the Hindi crime comedy moving away from its previously announced August date. The makers plan to use the extra time for the final leg of the film’s marketing and publicity campaign.
Why has the Jeevan Bheema Yojna release been postponed
According to an exclusive report by Deadline, representatives for the film confirmed the change, citing the need for more time to complete its marketing and publicity campaign. A new poster has also been released to reflect the revised theatrical schedule.
Produced by Starbeam Ventures, formerly known as Blue God Entertainment, the film is directed by Abhishek Dogra. Anshu Mishra serves as producer, with Nitin Khanna, Afsana Kherani and Ramen Raheja as co-producers. Mukta Bhatt, Vivek Verma, and Dogra wrote the screenplay.
Arshad Warsi plays dual roles
The film stars Arshad Warsi in a dual lead role, playing Jeevan, a debt-ridden common man whose life changes after he encounters his dangerous lookalike, Bheema. What begins as an apparent opportunity soon turns into a chaotic situation involving lies, greed and increasingly risky decisions.
Sanjeeda Shaikh plays Yojana, Jeevan’s sharp and resourceful wife. Vijay Raaz, Pooja Chopra, Bijendra Kala and the late Atul Parchure also feature in the cast.
Dogra described the film as being about ordinary people making one extraordinary and catastrophic decision before spending the rest of the story dealing with its consequences. “The genre is dark comedy, but the heart of it is very human. Arshad brings both men to life with a precision that constantly surprised us on set.”
When will Jeevan Bheema Yojana release?
The Jeevan Bheema Yojana release date has now been shifted to September 4, when the Arshad Warsi starrer is scheduled to arrive in theatres worldwide.
