At the John Cain Arena, Lorenzo Musetti has got the better of Tomas Machac 5-7, 6-4, 6-2, 5-7, 6-2 to seal the spot in the fourth round where he will face the winner of the match between Taylor Fritz and Stan Wawrinka.
An official word in from the organisers that due to today’s scorching conditions, no matches will be called on outdoor courts before 5.30pm local time.
Ben Shelton praises the crowd and the closed roof for his win over no. 30 seed Valentin Vacherot in the third round.
“There is a reason why I play so well here and the roof going on amplified the noise,” Shelton said in his post match interview.

Second seed Iga Swiatek bounces back from a setback in the second set and takes the third comfortably She thus overcomes 31st seed Anna Kalinskaya in three sets (6-1, 1-6, 6-1) to march into the fourth round.
Gritty play from the Serbian! After van De Zandschulp puts pressure on Djokovic's serve at 5-6, the latter survives two set points to force a tiebreak. It is now at 3-3, whoever gets to 7 points first (with a difference of two) takes the set.
And there it is! Djokovic pushes through in the tiebreak, producing the clutch play he is so well known for, in the tiebreak. The Serbian wins 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) against van De Zandschulp to not only enter the fourth round but also bring up his 400th Grand Slam match victory.
At the Margaret Court Arena, Marin Cilic has lost the first two sets against 12th seed Casper Ruud 4-6, 4-6 and is staring down the barrel. Unless the veteran Croat comes up with an improbable comeback, he is likely to bow out of the tournament tonight.
Marin Cilic is not going down without a fight. He takes the third set 6-3 against Casper Ruud and forces the 12th seed into a fourth set. Let's see how much fuel in the tank the 37-year-old Croat has.
At the Show Court Arena, Jakub Mensik of Czechia gets the better of USA’s Ethan Quinn in straight sets. The 16th-seeded Mensik wins 6-2, 7-6 (5), 7-6 (5) to book a fourth-round meeting with Serbian great Novak Djokovic.
Marin Cilic's defiance ends, as Casper Ruud takes the fourth set to complete a 6-4, 6-4, 3-6, 5-7 victory in their third-round encounter. The veteran Croat is eliminated, while the 12th seed sets up a fourth-round face-off with USA's Ben Shelton.
