Juventus Vs Man City, FIFA Club World Cup 2025: Erling Haaland Scores 300th Goal For Club And Country

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland marked his 300th senior goal for club and country after netting the third goal for his side in the FIFA Club World Cup Group G fixture against Juventus at Camping World Stadium on 26 June. The goal came in the 52nd minute, with City leading 2-1, as Matheus Nunes found the Norwegian with a beautiful cross, only for the striker to tap it in from close range.

The goal marked the fifth consecutive match that Haaland has scored for his club and country – the first time he has achieved this feat since April 2023, when he scored for seven games in a row.

Ever since being signed from Borussia Dortmund for €60m, Haaland has been a force to reckon with for Pep Guardiola’s side. Despite the Cityzens’ poor domestic season in 2024-25, the Norwegian scored 32 times across all competitions in 46 games, and now marked his first goal in the Club World Cup against the Bianconeri.

Haaland’s Goal Puts Man City In Control

Erling Haaland’s goal was crucial considering the overall picture of Group G, as it put Manchester City two goals clear of Juventus, putting them top of the group, avoiding a potential encounter against Real Madrid in the Round of 16.

After Jeremy Doku did well to put City ahead in the ninth minute, Juventus capitalised on a mistake by Ederson to equalise just two minutes later through Teun Koopmeiners.

However, a good cross by Nunes – who has been a livewire down the right flank – forced an own goal from Pierre Kalulu in the 26th minute, before the Portuguese assisted Haaland’s goal to put City 3-1 up.
