Kolkata Knight Riders registered a commanding seven-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2026, snapping SRH’s winning streak with a complete all-round display.

Batting first, SRH got off to a blazing start, racing past 100 inside nine overs thanks to Travis Head’s explosive 61 off 28 balls. However, the momentum shifted dramatically once Head fell, as KKR’s bowlers triggered a stunning collapse, bundling SRH out for 165 in 19 overs.

The turnaround was led by spin twins Varun Chakaravarthy and Sunil Narine, who dominated the middle overs and picked up crucial wickets. Varun’s three-wicket haul broke the backbone of SRH’s batting, while Narine added two wickets and also reached the milestone of 200 IPL wickets during the match.

From a dominant 105/1, SRH lost nine wickets for just 60 runs, completely losing control of the innings.

In reply, KKR chased down 166 comfortably, anchored by a composed 59 from Angkrish Raghuvanshi and a steady 43 from Ajinkya Rahane. Despite a few late wickets, KKR never looked under pressure, finishing the chase with ease in 18.2 overs. The win boosted their playoff hopes and highlighted a strong comeback performance after being on the back foot early in the game.
