"The average first innings total here is 174, but I think it's better than that. Today we are seeing quite a bare patch at this end and also at the far end. So it might be a little bit drier but generally it's even coverage of grass, comes onto the bat," reckon Samuel Badree and Simon Katich

Swing has been on offer again in Mullanpur as Azmatullah Omarzai made the ball talk in the first over giving away just two runs in the opening over to Prabhsimran Singh and Sam Curran.

PBKS - 2/0 (1)

Prabhsimran Singh led PBKS' rare good start in the powerplay this season to put his team at 56/1 in the first six overs.

Mohit Sharma has dismissed the dangerous Prabhsimran and now Sam Curran has Rilee Russouw to give him company.

Openers Shubman Gill and Wridhiman Saha have been watchful as Gujarat Titans hhave scored just 12 in the first two overs in a chase of 143.

GT - 12/0 (2)

Despite losing only Wridhiman Saha, GT have not taken any chances so far in the powerplay. Punjab bowlers have been disciplined but with Shubman Gill batting, they will be under pressure.

"I think so (we were 10-15 short). The effort with the ball was incredible, the commitment and fight was amazing, but it was not enough... Now we know what to do, we have to win every game."

"Would have liked to finish it earlier, good to get those two points. (Captaincy) It's been very exciting for me to be able to take up this role. Except the over-rate, everything good"

"Just trying to give my 120% for the team, playing after 20-25 days, so just wanted to go there, enjoy myself and give my everything...  Instinctively I felt into the wicket and just change of pace was the way to go here, it worked out beautifully."

Gujarat Titans move up to sixth position in the points table with this win while Punjab Kings continue to stick at the second-last spot. That will be it from our side tonight. Good Night!
