22 runs from the first over of Mitchell Starc. Priyansh Arya set the tone with a six off the first ball and followed it by a flick to the square leg boundary with Prabhsimran Singh ending it with a cover drive at the last ball. We are in for a run-fest today as it looks like a belter of a wicket.
PBKS 22/0 (1)
Priyansh Arya has looked in sublime touch today as he raced past to 40 runs off just 16 balls. After taking down Mitchell Starc in the first over, Arya slams Lungi Ngidi was two sixes and a four in the 3rd over as PBKS goes past 50 in just the third over.
PBKS 51/0 (3)
What an over by Auqib Nabi, giving just 2 runs from the last over of the powerplay. However before this over it was raining sixes and boundaries at the Dharamshala Cricket Stadium with Priyansh Arya blazing a 24-ball half-century as PBKS score 72 runs from the first six overs. DC need a wicket as soon as possible of PBKS could bat them out of the match.
PBKS 72/0 (6)
Priyansh Arya Gone and it's the youngster Madhav Tiwari playing his second IPL game, who gets the priced wicket. Arya goes after hitting a blistering knock of 56 runs off 33 balls and slowly but surely DC are creeping back into the game. Cooper Connolly joins Shreyas Iyer in the middle.
PBKS 97/2 (9)
Cooper Connolly (10*) and Shreyas Iyer (33*) have stitched an unbeaten 36-run stand for the 3rd wicket. While DC have pulled things back a bit, it's a dangerous partnership for them as both these can change the course of the innings any time and DC would want to see their back, if they want to restrict PBKS to a manageable total.
PBKS 133/2 (13)
The partnership between Shreyas Iyer (41*) and Cooper Connolly (31*) is going from strength to strength. Both the batter have accumulated 65 runs between them and are looking well set in the crease. If they stay at the crease till the end, then they could get PBKS to a solid first innings total.
PBKS 162/2 (16)
Suryansh Shegde hits a boundary of the last ball but still 7 runs from the last over off Lungi Ngidi. DC pulled things back but Suryansh Shedge played a blazing knock of 21 off just 8 balls to take PBKS to 210 in 20 overs. Shreyas Iyer finished with an unbeaten59 off 36 balls. It is a good total but given the pitch and dewy conditions, it's going to be an interesting chase.
PBKS 210/5 (20)
A bit of shake-up in the DC opening combination with no Pathum Nissanka. Abishek Porel walks out alongside KL Rahul, with Arshdeep Singh taking the new ball for Punjab. Rahul makes a tentative start, as Arshdeep gets a good shape going away from the right-hander. Six from the first over, which includes an outside edge to the fence.
DC: 6/0 (1)
The new opening combination hasn't worked for Delhi as both the openers are back in the hut. Abhishek Porel was castled by Yash Thakur for 5 followed by KL Rahul top-edging a back of the length delivery by Arhsdeep Singh. Since then Sahil Parekh has played some mesmerising shots to provide some momentum to DC's innings.
DC 32/2 (4)
The powerplay is done and dusted and Punjab Kings have dominated the first six overs of the 2nd innings by picking up the wickets of top three DC batters. Sameer Parekh was the last batter to get dismissed. The youngster smashed some amazing shots but it turned out to be one too many as he ended up giving a simple catch to Yuzvendra Chahal at the short third man area.
DC 47/3 (6)
What a disastrous mix-up in the middle that led to end of a positive partnership between Axar Patel and Tristan Stubbs. The ball hit the pads and went straight into the hands of Cooper Connolly. Tristan Stubbs was interested in sneaking and run almost to the other end but didn't find the support from Axar Patel and Connolly did the rest by rattling the stumps by a direct hit.
DC 74/4 (9)
Axar Patel hits a sensational six off the last ball to take 15 runs from Dwarshius' over. The partnership between Axar Patel and David Miller is now 39 runs strong. With the amount of dew on the ground and the ease with which these both the batters are playing, it's looking danger times for PBKS.
DC 113/4 (12)
Punjab Kings gets the timely wicket of Axar Patel, who departs after scoring a well-crafted 56 off 36 balls. Stoinis bowls a slower ball and Axar tries to clear the long on boundary but mistimes to hit it in the hands of the fielder. Ashutosh Sharma joins David Miller in the middle.
DC 143/5 (15)
What an over for Delhi Capitals as they take 19 runs from the over with just 17 runs needed off 12 balls. Ashutosh Sharma and Madhav Tiwari have forged a brisk 26-run stand to put DC ahead in the chase.
DC 194/6 (18)
What a chase by Delhi Capitals as they take 21 runs from the 19th over to finish the 211-run chase with an over to spare. Axar Patel (56) and David Miller (51) slammed thunderous half-centuries to set the chase for DC, while Ashutosh Sharma (24 off 10 balls) and Madhav Tiwari (18* off 8 balls) chipped in with breezy knock at the end to finish the chase. Auqib Nabi (10*) finished the match in style with a six.
DC 216/7 (19)
