This is Kolkata Knight Riders’ 100th match at Eden Gardens, making them only the second team in IPL history to play 100 games at a single venue, after Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

We are underway as Ajinkya Rahane takes strike with Finn Allen at the other end. Mohammed Siraj has the new ball and is set to open the attack. Early intensity already building, fielders in position, crowd buzzing.

Finn Allen breaks the silence in style! Siraj pitches it full at 139.4kph, angling in, Allen gets a thick inside edge but it races away fine past short fine leg, four more on the board. Next ball, Siraj goes slightly wider at 137.9kph and pays the price again.

Allen stays tall, frees his arms, and absolutely flays it over backward point. Two bounces, into the fence, back-to-back boundaries and Allen is up and running.

Siraj strikes and it’s a big one, Rahane is gone.

138.3kph, full and angling in, Rahane goes for the whip but plays with no real footwork. He completely misses the inward movement as the ball sneaks through the gap and crashes into the stumps, timber. That’s wicket number 200 in T20s for Mohammed Siraj, a landmark moment delivered in style. Rahane departs for 14, and this match just gets a fresh twist.

Siraj keeps it tight after the milestone moment. 141.4kph on the money, Raghuvanshi uses soft hands to drop it towards cover-point and sneaks a quick single. Next ball, a touch slower at 137.9kph, same channel outside off, Raghuvanshi just nudges it straight to point, no run. Pressure still building here.

Dropped! And that could prove costly.

Jason Holder goes short, Finn Allen goes for the pull but doesn’t time it well and ends up top-edging it straight down long-on’s throat. Siraj gets under it but puts it down, a straightforward chance spilled. Allen survives on 1.

Rashid Khan floats one in and Finn Allen makes it count. He punches a short of a length delivery back down the ground, timing it sweetly. It looks like trouble as Jason Holder slides across from long-on, but he can’t keep it in, brushes the rope as he tries to flick it back. It’s a boundary, and that also brings up Finn Allen’s fifty off just 21 balls.

KKR bring up 100 in style and Finn Allen is leading the charge.

Holder goes into the pitch at 123.3kph, a bit too short and sitting up nicely. Allen reads it early, stays tall, and absolutely muscles the pull over deep square leg. The fielder in the deep watches it sail comfortably over, no chance at all. Big hit, big statement as KKR cruise past the three-figure mark.

Sai Kishore breaks through and Finn Allen falls after a breathtaking knock.

Tossed up on the leg-stump line, Allen shuffles across and looks to loft it clean over the top. But the drift does him in, he doesn’t quite get the distance he wanted, and it hangs in the air.

Rashid Khan settles under it at wide long-on and takes a calm, safe catch. End of a whirlwind 93 off just 35 balls, packed with boundaries and sixes, but Sai Kishore finally has the last laugh.

Rashid Khan rips one in and there’s a huge LBW shout! Cameron Green goes for the big sweep across the line, misses the wrong’un completely and gets struck right in front. Loud appeal, but it’s sliding down leg, GT think twice and don’t go upstairs. No run, but plenty of drama in that over.

Siraj goes full and pays the price, Raghuvanshi makes him look ordinary.

Right in the slot from Siraj, and that’s all Raghuvanshi needed. He clears the front leg, gets under it cleanly, and launches it high over cover. Pure timing, effortless elevation, and it sails all the way for a big six.

KKR finish on a massive 247/2 in 20 overs, setting the tone with a dominant batting display. Finn Allen lit up the innings with a blistering 93 off 35 before falling to Sai Kishore, while Rahane added a steady start before being bowled by Siraj. Angkrish Raghuvanshi anchored things calmly and stayed unbeaten, with Cameron Green also finishing not out as KKR closed out a powerhouse total.

Chase is on at full tilt as Gujarat Titans begin their pursuit of 248. Sai Sudharsan takes strike with Shubman Gill at the other end, and Saurabh Dubey has the new ball in hand, ready to open the attack. Big target, fresh pitch, and plenty of pressure already in the air.

Cameron Green goes short to Shubman Gill, and the skipper answers in style! Gill picks it up early, rocks back, and absolutely smokes it over the ropes for a clean six. Perfect response under early pressure.

Sai Sudharsan takes a painful blow but bravely completes the single! Kartik Tyagi goes leg-lined on a short of a length and Sudharsan goes early into the pull, misses it completely, and the ball runs through to backward square leg for leg byes.

He takes a nasty hit on the left elbow, goes down in discomfort, even loses his bat for a moment, but still manages to finish the run before collapsing in pain. He gets back up slowly and immediately takes off the gloves, that didn’t look good at all.

Not a good sight out there at all.

The physio rushes in as Sai Sudharsan stays down, clearly in pain after that blow on the left elbow. Ice pack comes on quickly, but the discomfort is obvious. After a brief assessment, he makes the tough walk off the field, retired hurt. A big setback for Gujarat Titans right after a strong start.

Jos Buttler is ready out near the boundary, but it’s Nishant Sindhu who walks in to join Shubman Gill in the middle. Big moment in this chase, and Titans will hope Sudharsan’s injury isn’t serious.

Sunil Narine strikes first ball in his 200th IPL game, and KKR draw first blood!

Tossed up outside off, Nishant Sindhu goes for the lofted drive but doesn’t get the distance. He ends up slicing it straight down long-off’s throat, where Manish Pandey settles under it and takes a safe catch. Sindhu goes for 1 off 4, and Narine marks his milestone with an immediate impact.

Varun Chakaravarthy slows it up on middle and leg, giving Jos Buttler no room to free the arms. Buttler stays composed, works it down to long-on and takes a single to keep things moving. Tight, controlled over so far.

Kartik Tyagi bowled a good over mixing his pace and nailing the yorkers, yet Gujarat Titans found 10 runs off the over thanks to a four off the inside edge of Jos Buttler's bat. Shubman Gill has been the aggressor, taking on the spinners, while Buttler has so far played the second fiddle to him, both keeping the chase alive.

Some fantastic ball striking from Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler and Kartik Tyagi goes for 21 runs in one over. Sudharsan doesn't look like he suffered a blow to his elbow about an hour ago and he has nailed some solid shots. Hos Buttler on the other end, also showed his touch and picked up a crucial six off the last ball of the over.

An important breakthrough was provided by Sunil Narine when he got well-set Shubman Gill caught at square leg. Anukul Roy showed incredible balance to complete the catch.

Till the 19th over, the thrill was alive. Gujarat Titans were behind by some distance but there was a chance that Jos Buttler can pull off the impossible. But a 5 run over from Saurabh Dubey with brilliant death bowling execution sealed the game for KKR. Cameron Green bowled the last over and dismissed Rahul Tewatia and with it KKR sealed a 29-run victory. Finn Allen's 93, Raghuvanshi and Green's half-centuries set them up to a massive total. Sunil Narine's 2/29, and the combined effort from the other bowlers was enough to seal the win for them. KKR stay alive in playoff race, while GT will have to wait for their qualification.
