Virat, Rohit Fail As Australia Thump India In Truncated ODI Series Opener
Australia made light work of India in the first ODI of the three-match series on Sunday, October 19 at the Optus Stadium in Perth. In a game marred by delays due to stop-start rain, Indian batters failed on a pitch with steep bounce. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma both failed as India could only give a DLS adjusted 131-run target. Australia were led by captain Mitchell Marsh's unbeaten 46 as they chased down the target in 22nd over of the 26-over game to take a 1-0 lead in the series.
