India bounce back brilliantly to level the series 1-1 with one to play! After being outplayed in Melbourne, the visitors got everything right tonight. Early wickets from Arshdeep set the tone, and Varun’s double strike halted Australia’s momentum despite Tim David’s fireworks. Stoinis threatened late, but Dube’s timely breakthrough kept India in control. With the bat, Abhishek and SKY gave a flying start before Ellis hit back. Axar and Tilak steadied things, and then Washington Sundar’s explosive 49 off 23, supported by Jitesh Sharma, sealed a clinical chase for India.

Conditions look pleasant in Hobart, around 26 degrees with some early chill. Dew could be a big factor later, so teams might prefer bowling first. Arshdeep Singh strikes early. The left-armer, back in the side after missing the first two games, makes an instant impact. Head looked to go over mid-off but only managed to sky it, Suryakumar Yadav settles under it safely. Arshdeep, India’s leading T20I wicket-taker, delivers right away in his comeback over.

Another one for Arshdeep Singh. Inglis tries to take him on with a pull but mistimes it badly against the wind, straight into the safe hands of Axar at deep backward square. Arshdeep’s on fire, two wickets already, and India are right on top early in Hobart.

Bumrah almost had Tim David! A sharp chance goes down at backward point, Washington Sundar couldn’t hold on as the ball came fast off the bat. David survives a scare in the 6th over. Australia finish the powerplay at 43 for 3, early wickets for India but still some handy runs on the board.

Tim David brings up a blazing fifty off just 23 balls! What a counterattack from the big-hitter, cuts Dube past backward point for four. The crowd erupts as David registers the second-fastest fifty by an Australian against India in T20Is. Pure power, clean striking, and a timely rescue for Australia after early setbacks.

Varun Chakaravarthy strikes. Mitchell Marsh never really got going and finally holes out to long-off. Tried to go big down the ground but ended up slicing it straight to Tilak Varma, who made no mistake. Smart flight from Varun and India get the big wicket of the Aussie skipper! Marsh departs for 11 off 14.

Two in two for Varun Chakaravarthy. What a beauty, the googly sneaks through the bat-pad gap and crashes into off and middle. Mitchell Owen had no clue, playing for the leg-break and completely beaten. Clean bowled for a golden duck! India on top now as Varun is suddenly on a hat-trick, terrific spell from the mystery spinner

Tim David is anchoring the innings with pace despite the team have lost 4 wickets. Marcus Stoinis is taking his time to settle and will pick the pace when he gets set.

Shivam Dube gets the big one. Tim David falls after a blistering 74 off 38. Tried to go big down the ground, but Tilak Varma at long-off judged it perfectly, steady hands, cool composure, and stayed inside the ropes. That was headed for six, but Tilak made it look easy.

Marcus Stoinis has kept the scoreboard going. He's dealing with huge sixes and the Kangaroos are now eying for a big total even after losing five wickets.

Arshdeep Singh strikes again. Marcus Stoinis’ fine knock comes to an end on 64 off 39. Tried to clear long-on but couldn’t get the elevation, substitute Rinku Singh settles under it and takes a clean catch. A friendly fist bump between the two IPL mates as Stoinis walks off. Superb bowling from Arshdeep at the death.

Australia finish on 186, a strong total on what looked like a 200-run pitch. Tim David’s explosive 74 off 38 and Stoinis’ composed 64 powered the hosts after early wickets. Arshdeep Singh led India’s attack with three crucial strikes, while Varun Chakaravarthy’s double breakthrough halted the momentum briefly. India will need 187 to win.

Nathan Ellis gets his man again! Abhishek Sharma’s fiery start comes to an end on 25 off 16. A sharp bouncer at 147 clicks, Abhishek went for the pull, but the ball climbed quicker than he expected, taking the top edge and looping to Inglis behind the stumps. That’s the third time Ellis has dismissed him this series.

Nathan Ellis strikes again! Smart bowling from the Aussie seamer, he traps Shubman Gill in front for 15 off 12. Gill shuffled across, missed the flick, and the ball straightened just enough to hit him plumb in front. Ball-tracker shows three reds, crashing into leg stump

Big wicket for Australia! Suryakumar Yadav looked in dazzling touch but perishes trying to drive on the up. Stoinis takes the pace off, SKY mistimes it straight to Nathan Ellis at cover. He stands in disbelief before trudging off , India lose a crucial wicket just when things were heating up. SKY goes for 24 off 11, and Stoinis celebrates a clever strike.

Outstanding catch from Xavier Bartlett! Nathan Ellis once again uses the short ball to perfection, quick and well-directed around 140kph. Axar Patel was late on the pull, the ball flew off a leading edge high into the air, and Bartlett sprinted in before diving full length to grab it just inches above the turf. A crucial breakthrough as this partnership was starting to look dangerous. Axar departs for 17 off 12, Ellis keeps Australia in the hunt.

Bartlett strikes again! Tilak Varma tries to get cheeky with the scoop but mistimes it badly. Went down on one knee to send it over the infield, but the fuller ball caught the splice and ballooned straight up. Josh Inglis settles under it comfortably behind the stumps. A soft dismissal just when Tilak was looking set. India lose a crucial wicket — 42 needed off 34 now, and Australia sense an opening!

Washigton Sundar has turned this game into India's favour completely. He's smashed 39 runs off just 18 balls. Great decision by the Indian team to play him today.

Jitesh Sharma finishes it off in style! A glorious cover drive to seal the game for India. Abbott goes full and wide outside off, Jitesh leans forward and caresses it through the covers, timed to perfection and races away to the fence. He looks back, almost surprised it’s over already! India wrap up the chase with class, and Washington Sundar will just miss out on his fifty, but it’s smiles all around in the Indian camp.
