Kolkata Knight Riders have won the toss and elected to field first.
Delhi openers - KL Rahul and Pathum Nissanka have got their team off to a solid start at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. It looks like a decent track to bat on and KKR will have to get both these batters early as they could get their team to a flying start in no time.
DC 17/0 (2)
Gone! Delhi Capitals lose their first wicket as KL skies a fuller ball from Kartik Tyagi. The ball goes high in the sky and Cam Green lines himself up at mid on and gulps the ball into his bucket hands. KL Rahul departs after scoring a quick 23 off 14 balls.
DC 49/1 (5)
Kolkata Knight Riders draw second as Cameron Green sends Nitish Rana for 8 runs. It was a short ball banged into the body of Nitish Rana and he could not get it away and mistimes the shot into the hands of the wicketkeeper.
DC 74/2 (8)
Sameer Rizvi was looking uncomfortable against spin and eventually perishes to Sunil Narine for 3 off 7 balls. Rizvi tried to clear the deep mid-wicket boundary but eventually founds the fielder and DC lose their 3rd wicket. Tristan Stubbs joins Nissanka at the crease.
DC 80/3 (10)
KKR spinners have created a web over DC batters and they are finding it difficult to break of the shackles. DC have scored only 16 runs in the last four overs and have lost four wickets in doing so. Axar Patel and Ashutosh Sharma have a difficult task at their hands here.
DC 96/4 (14)
Finally some runs as Ashutosh Sharma smashes Varun Chakravarthy for a six and two boundaries to take 16 runs from the 17th over. With this big over, DC's innings gets the much-needed momentum. They would want both Ashutosh Sharma and Axar Patel to go till the end so DC could get to the 150-run mark.
DC 116/5 (17)
Ashutosh Sharma scored 39 off 28 balls towards the end to give some impetus to DC's innings as they finish at 142/8 in 20 overs. Pathum Nissanka was the other batter, who could create an impact in the innings. KKR spinner, led by Sunil Narine choked DC batters in the middle to restrict them to a sub par score of 142.
DC 142/8 (20)
Delhi pace spearhead Mitchell Starc has the brand new white ball in hand and KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane, Finn Allen walk out to commence the 143-run chase. Allen, with negligible foot movement, flays the second ball he faces down the ground for a boundary. Disciplined over otherwise from the Aussie great.
KKR: 6/0 (1)
The Capitals needed something to go their way in the powerplay to make a match of this, and they have certainly achieved that. Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi are both remarkably unlucky to be dismissed the way they are, and Delhi have a lifeline of sorts!
Allen drives Starc straight and the tall seamer gets a hand to it, catching Rahane well short as the ball deflects into the stumps. New batter Raghuvanshi then goes for a sweep off Axar Patel and the ball lobs up before bizarrely rolling back onto the sticks, to the youngster's horror. The Knight Riders are two down without doing much wrong.
KKR: 43/2 (6)
Axar Patel bowls a superb last over of his spell, giving just 4 runs from the over. Despite that KKR are in a strong position here, needing just 68 runs more of 60 balls with 8 wickets in hand and two set batters at the crease in the form of Finn Allen (45*) and Cam Green (16*).
KKR 75/2 (10)
What an exhibition of six hitting by Finn Allen at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Allen reached to his half-century in 28 balls and then took only 19 deliveries more to get to his hundred in just 47 balls. KKR smashed 59 runs in their last 20 balls to finish the match in just 14.2 overs. Finn Allen finished at 100 not out and registered an emphatic win for his team.
