A maiden international fifty for Sobhana Mostary! The young batter has shown great grit under immense pressure. Despite her effort, Bangladesh continue to crawl, struggling to rotate the strike or find boundaries as England’s bowlers keep things tight. It’s been a frustrating passage of play for Bangladesh, who need a late surge to post a competitive total.

Sobhana Mostary has finally found some support in Rabeya Khan, who’s showing positive intent by rotating the strike and counterattacking when given width. The duo is trying to inject some much-needed momentum into Bangladesh’s innings after a long period of stagnation. With just five overs left, the question now is whether they can push towards a defendable total against this disciplined English attack that has maintained relentless pressure throughout.

Sophie Ecclestone (3/24), Charlie Dean (2/28), Linsey Smith (2/33), and Alice Capsey (2/31) shared the spoils in a disciplined collective effort. England now need 179 to win, but with Bangladesh’s spin attack awaiting them on a slow Guwahati surface, the chase promises to be anything but straightforward.

BAN-W vs ENG-W Live Cricket Score, Women's ODI World Cup 2025: Charlie Dean on her spell

"Really nice. As I got into my spell, got more confident. Lots of turn and bounce, bringing variations into play and both edges (into play). Just adjusting my lines. If I bowl too wide, it can be an easy drive ball. Still have to keep the stumps in play, so went around the wicket. Something I work on. A bit of side spin, a bit of over-spin when needed, and then a scrambled seam ball that takes the outside edge. (On being part of this spin-bowling group) It is amazing. We work well as a spin quartet. We all bring something different. (On the chase) On a length, it looks pretty hard, so our batters have to dig in. If we can bat for long periods of time, we should knock these off."

What a dream start for Bangladesh and Marufa Akter! After a few loose deliveries, she finds the perfect fuller length and traps Amy Jones in front. Moments later, she seems to have Knight caught behind, and the umpire’s finger goes up only for DRS to overturn it after a lengthy review showing pad-first contact. Redemption for Marufa Akter! After dropping Tammy Beaumont earlier, she roars back in style, trapping her plumb in front. She’s timing the ball beautifully and rotating strike effortlessly, keeping the scoreboard ticking. If she continues in this rhythm for a few more overs, England should have little trouble overhauling the 179-run target. Bangladesh, however, are not giving in easily. Their bowlers are fighting hard, maintaining tight lines and fielders buzzing around to create pressure wherever possible.

BAN-W vs ENG-W Live Cricket Score, Women’s ODI World Cup 2025: ENG-W 70-4 (19)

What a turnaround by Bangladesh, and it’s all thanks to Fahima Khatun! First, she removes the in-form Nat Sciver-Brunt for 33, chipping tamely to mid-wicket, a huge wicket just as England looked settled. Moments later, Fahima strikes again, trapping Sophia Dunkley LBW after a tense review that stayed with the on-field call. Her ecstatic celebration said it all as England suddenly find themselves wobbling at 70-4 in 19 overs. Bangladesh have stormed back into the contest with renewed energy, and this chase is now delicately poised!

Lamb walks back, England slip to 86-5 in 24 overs, and Bangladesh are right on top. The contest is boiling beautifully, and this chase could go either way now!
