Mumbai Indians defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by five wickets here on Wednesday to all but qualify for the playoffs. (LIVE SCORES | POINTS TABLE | SCHEDULE & RESULTS)

Put in to bat, Royal Challengers Bangalore scored 164 for six in the allotted 20 overs. But in the end a target of 165 proved to little with MI chasing it with five balls to spare.

Suryakumar Yadav remained unbeaten on 79 of 43 balls anchoring the chase. Yadav remained unfazed despite wickets falling at regular intervals. Smashing three sixes and 10 fours, Yadav  guided MI to top of the points table.
Praising him, Mumbai Indians stand-in skipper said, "Imagine someone (Yadav) batting at that strike rate after two early wickets. Deep down inside he must be very very disappointed to not have donned the blue for India. He just keeps getting better."
