The teacher of a school in Uttar Pradesh's Mau district was caught on camera instructing students how to cheat in the board exams and how to behave if they are caught.

A video posted by news agency ANI shows the teacher of Harivansh Memorial Inter College giving instructions to students appearing in state board examination. He is heard saying, 'Write your exam with the help of cheating but maintain discipline if your 'chit' is caught."

Flanked by other staff members, he tells the students that they should not argue if they are caught while cheating because that would harm the entire school.

"If the examiner slaps you, tolerate that and apologise...Don't argue or they will fail all of you," he is heard saying.

The teacher even advises his students to put a Rs 100 note in answer sheet to bribe teachers. "Once you put a Rs 100 note there, the teacher will give you marks with closed eyes," he says.

Towards the end of his pep talk, the speaker encourages the students to prepare for the exam and takes leave with slogans: "Jai Hind, Jai Bharat."

"We have taken cognizance of the matter. Stringent action will be taken after investigating the matter," District Magistrate Gyan Prakash Tripathi said.
