Father of 23-year-old Ankit Saxena, who was murdered in West Delhi allegedly by relatives of his Muslim girlfriend, has requested media and politicians to not communalise the crime.
Speaking to Delhi BJP President Manoj Tiwari, relatives of Ankit pointed out the sensational reportage of the incident and appealed for justice.
"I had one son. If I get justice, it’s good. If not, even then I don’t have hatred against any community. I have no such thinking. I am unable to understand why media is showing this issue in that light,” Yashpal, Ankit's father told Tiwari.
Dejected, Yashpal said people from the media visit him and talk 'softly and lovingly' but show something else on TV. "They use words like 'Premi', 'Muslim', 'Mazhab'. All are making stories."

In a video shared on Twitter, relative of Ankit is seen condemning the sensationalist reportage of the incident.
"Media is taking it as a joke. They are showing visuals of Ankit going on a scooter and a Muslim man stabbing him from behind. What the hell is that? Headlines like 'Horror Murder in Delhi' are flashing on TVs. We don't want that. We only want justice. Not even money, but justice." he said.
"If you want to join us, join us with your hearts. We don't want politicians coming for photo-ops. If that is the case, we will fight our case ourselves. We did lodge a complaint ourselves, didn't we?" he added.

Tension gripped West Delhi's Khyala area after Ankit, a local photographer was allegedly stabbed to death by parents of a 20-year-old girl.
Ankit had been in a relationship with the woman living in his neighbourhood for the past two-three years, but the woman's family was apparently opposed to their relationship.
The woman's relatives had allegedly got into an argument with Ankit before he was killed, police said.
The argument turned violent when the woman's father, mother, uncle and a minor brother caught the victim. One of them stabbed him in the neck, police said.
Security has been stepped up in the area to thwart any untoward incident in the wake of the incident.
