A 51-ball hundred from Upul Tharanga, coupled with a quickfire half-century from Lahiru Thirimanne helped Sri Lanka Masters beat Australia Masters by three wickets in the International Masters League T20 2025 tournament at the BCA Stadium in Vadodara on Friday, February 28. (More Cricket News)
The Lankans chased down the Aussies' 218-run target in 19.2 overs, largely on the back of a 153-run second-wicket stand between Tharanga (102 off 54 balls) and Thirimanne (53 off 34).
Tharanga, who got off to a cautious start, took a special liking for Daniel Christian, depositing the medium pacer for a couple of sixes and a four to bring up a 31-ball fifty. After receiving a reprieve on 83, Tharanga launched an all-out assault, taking the Australia Masters bowlers to task.
