The third India vs England Test at Lord's continues to bubble up beautifully on Monday (July 14, 2025). Ben Stokes and Co are on the brink of a series-defining victory, but the Indian hopes are not entirely extinguished yet, as long as Ravindra Jadeja is in the middle. The hosts know that, and hence are engaging in heated words with the veteran southpaw to ruffle his feathers.

Brydon Carse and Jadeja barged into each other during the last ball of the 35th over of the Indian innings, and an altercation ensued. England skipper Stokes eventually had to intervene to cool things down.

It was a delivery wide of off stump and Jadeja cut it towards the point rgion for a couple of runs. While running the first run, Jadeja collided with Carse and the bowler wasn't pleased one bit, having a go at the 36-year-old all-rounder. You can watch the video of the collision incident and the confrontation below:

Replays later showed that both Jadeja and Carse were ball-watching, and it was not so much a case of finding fault as it was of trying to break the batter's concentration. Jadeja went to lunch unbeaten on 17 off 53 balls, but his partner Nitish Kumar Reddy was dismissed at the stroke of the interval, caught behind off Chris Woakes for 13 (off 53).

Only the pace-bowling duo of Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah remains to bat after this, with India still needing 81 runs in their pursuit of a 193-run target. It would take an absolute miracle for Shubman Gill's men to pull off a victory from here and take a 2-1 lead in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. England appear primed to do that instead, but stranger things have happened in Test cricket before.
