India and England cricket teams are in Hyderabad to play the first Test match of the five-game Test bilateral series. The match will start on Thursday, 25th January 2024 in Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Players from England's team will also be present at the awards ceremony.
The BCCI is hosting the award ceremony after four years. The last BCCI awards was hosted back in January 2020. This year, the awards for the last four years will also be given to the respective players. BCCI had not hosted any annual award ceremony in the last four years due to the COVID-19 pandemic and busy schedule in the following years.

Former Indian all-rounder and coach Ravi Shastri will be receiving the prestigious Lifetime Achievement award. Shubman Gill will be awarded with Cricketer of the Year award. Sarfaraz Khan and Shams Mulani of the Mumbai team will be given awards for being the highest run-getter and wicket-taker respectively in the Ranji Trophy 2023.
Indian star batter Virat Kohli can miss the award ceremony after withdrawing his name from the first two Test matches against England due to personal reasons.
