15 BRO workers from Jharkhand were killed in an avalanche in Sumna, in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district on April 23. Sumna is near the confluence of the Girthigad and Kiogad where a glacial avalanche in February killed 80 people, while 126 remain missing.

Lalu Yadav, 73, got bail in the last pending fodder scam case more than a week ago, but his release from jail has been delayed till May 3 in view of the coronavirus surge. The RJD chief got bail on April 17 in the Dumka treasury case of the Rs 950-crore scam after he completed half of the term. Yadav is in AIIMS, Delhi, since January.
