In a poignant display of solidarity and determination, Tibetan activists gathered in McLeodganj to stage a protest, sending a fervent plea to the G20 leaders convening in Delhi to address the alleged efforts by China to obliterate Tibetan culture and heritage.

The passionate student protesters voiced their concerns, vehemently accusing the Chinese government of relentless attacks on their education system and an insidious agenda to erase the very essence of Tibetan culture and identity. Their voices echoed through the streets, urging world leaders to take decisive action against these deeply troubling developments.

Tenzin Passang, the national director of Students for Free Tibet (India), brought attention to the disturbing reality on the ground. He shed light on China's establishment of colonial-style boarding schools in Tibet, where Tibetan children, some as young as four years old, are forcibly separated from their families and thrust into these institutions. This separation, as Passang emphasized, not only severs familial bonds but also severs the ties to their native language and culture.

Tenzin Lekdhen, campaign director at Students for Free Tibet - India, passionately articulated their collective plea: "We implore the G20 leaders to give dedicated attention to the ongoing events in Tibet, particularly the distressing situation within these colonial boarding schools and the grave human rights violations transpiring within Tibet."
