A 21-year-old woman is battling for her life in a Kolkata Hospital after her former boyfriend stabbed her multiple times. The incident reportedly occurred in the Survey Park area of the city as told by the police.
According to the reports, the police have confirmed that the accused has been arrested.
The reports said that following an altercation between the accused and the woman, she was stabbed repeatedly on Tuesday afternoon.
As per an initial investigation by the police, the reports suggest that the two belong to the same locality and were in a relationship sometime back and later they separated ways.

A police officer told the media, “The man asked her to meet and repeatedly stabbed her before taking the woman to a pond to drown her."
While the accused was stabbing the woman, her screams were heard by a nearby traffic sergeant who came to rescue her. The sergeant along with the help of some locals manages to catch the accused right there.
Reports said that the investigation is underway.
