Rock legend Bruce Springsteen, has decided to postpone the remainder of his September US tour dates to undergo treatment for symptoms of peptic ulcer disease. The announcement comes after the cancellation of two concerts in August and was made in consultation with his medical advisors.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band had been scheduled to perform eight more concerts this month. However, a statement released by the artist's team explained that his medical condition required immediate attention and rest.

Peptic ulcers are painful sores that can develop in the stomach lining or the small intestine. Symptoms can include a burning or gnawing pain in the abdomen, along with indigestion, heartburn, acid reflux, and nausea, as noted by the NHS.

In response to the postponement, Springsteen expressed his disappointment, saying, "We are heartbroken to have to postpone these shows." He went on to apologize to his fans in Philadelphia for the missed concerts and assured them that the shows would be rescheduled.

"First, apologies to our fabulous Philly [Philadelphia] fans who we missed a few weeks ago. We'll be back to pick these shows up and then some. Thank you for your understanding and support," Springsteen added.

Despite the setback, Springsteen and his band expressed their enthusiasm for the US tour and the positive experiences they have had performing for their audiences. They reassured fans that they would return soon.

After the originally planned September shows, Bruce Springsteen was already scheduled to take October off before resuming the tour with Canadian dates in November. The artist's health remains a top priority, and his team will monitor his progress to ensure a safe return to the stage.

Fans and music enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting updates on Springsteen's condition and the rescheduling of the postponed tour dates.

Springsteen's commitment to his art have solidified his status as an icon  in the world of music, and his fans wish him a speedy recovery as he addresses his health concerns.
