It is confirmed that he is still part of the film.

Sardaar Ji-Border 2 row

A few days back, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) wrote letters to Bhushan Kumar and Sunny Deol, expressing their disappointment and concern over casting of Diljit Dosanjh in Border 2.

"Your decision to disassociate from this collaboration will reaffirm your enduring image as a true patriot and will send a strong message that national interest will always come before individual pursuits," the letter said.

It further stated, "By choosing to collaborate with an artist who has so brazenly ignored the ongoing tensions and national sentiment, your production has directly undermined the stand taken by the Indian film industry in solidarity with the nation."

Border 2 has been produced by JP Films and T-Series and directed by Anurag Singh.

Dilji Dosanjh not dropped from Border 2

Recently, a source close to the film's development confirmed to Hindustan Times that the actor hasn't been replaced or removed. "There is no plan to replace or remove Diljit from Border 2. The announcement about his casting was made almost nine months back, before any of the unfortunate situations had happened. Almost 40-50 percent of the film’s shooting has already been done, so making any change at this point is not possible," the source revealed.
