In 2019, Jagan Shakti made his directorial debut with the Akshay Kumar-starrer, ‘Mission Mangal,’ which became a blockbuster success in the country. Both audiences as well as critics lauded the film, and praised the cast for their outstanding performances. Following this success, Shakti embarked on a new project, which was reportedly an action thriller with Tiger Shroff in the lead role, under the banner of Pooja Entertainment. However, after approximately a month of shooting, the project was shelved.

And now, as per recent reports, Jagan Shakti is now in discussions with Ajay Devgn for an upcoming feature film.

Sources close to the development to the film informed Pinkvilla that the actor and the director met on various occasions over the past few months to discuss a probable collaboration. The source added further, “Ajay is excited by the idea pitched to him by Jagan Shakti and is looking forward to the collaboration. The genre and other details are not known yet, but, it’s a world that has excited Ajay. They are discussing and figuring out the logistics at the moment.”

The forthcoming film will be produced by the actor himself under his banner, Devgn Films. “If everything goes as planned, Ajay will start shooting for the Jagan Shakti directorial by early 2025,” the source went on to state.

However, an official confirmation from the actor or the director about the same is highly awaited.

Meanwhile, in other works, Devgn is presently keeping himself busy with other projects, with ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ and ‘Raid 2’ scheduled to release this year. He’s currently shooting for ‘Singham Again,’ and also has shoots of ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ and ‘Son of Sardar 2’ lined up from next month onwards. The veteran actor is also committed to starring in ‘Dhamaal 4’ as well as ‘Golmaal 5.’ However, the exact timelines for these two projects will be finalized once the respective directors have completed the scripts.
