WI Vs IND, 3rd ODI: India Complete 3-0 Series Sweep Against West Indies

India defeated the West Indies by 119 runs in the rain-affected third and final match at Queen's Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad.

India completed a 3-0 series clean sweep against the West Indies with a 119-run win in the third and final ODI at Queen's Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad early Thursday morning. After posting 225/3 (36 overs) in the rain-affected match, India dismissed the Windies for 137 in 26 overs.

Mohammed Siraj gave India a dream start with the wickets of Kyle Mayers and Shamarh Brooks in the second over, then Yuzvendra Chahal claimed four wickets to derail the Windies' chase.

Earlier, opting to bat first, skipper Shikhar Dhawan and his opening partner Shubman Gill hit fine half-centuries as India reached 115 for 1 against West Indies in 24 overs before rain stopped play.

Play resumed after more than an hour as the match for a 40-over per side. Then another rain interruption forced match officials to make it a 36-overs affair.

Shubman Gill, who remained unbeaten on 98 in a run-a-ball knock, won both the player of the match and series awards. India had won the first match by three runs, then the second by two wickets.

The two teams will play five T20Is, starting Friday.

India have made one change, fielding Prasidh Krishna in place of Avesh Khan. Meanwhile, West Indies have made three changes from the side that played in the last game. Jason Holder, Keemo Paul and Keacy Carty have replaced Alzarri Joseph, Rovman Powell and Romario Shepherd.
