Brahim Diaz to Morocco's rescue in the 64th minute! The Real Madrid midfielder breaks the deadlock with a stinging shot from a tight angle, that just about beats Tanzania goalie Masalanga. Achraf Hakimi supplies the assist and the Atlas Lions are now in a strong position to make the quarter-finals.

In the Spanish league, Real Madrid have thrashed Real Betis by an emphatic 5-1 margin, with Gonzalo Garcia claiming a hat-trick. The Los Blancos, who were without the injured Kylian Mbappe, did not miss the Frenchman as Garcia showed he is an able contender to replace the France international.

After four added minutes, the referee blows the final whistle and Morocco emerge 1-0 victors over Tanzania. The Atlas Lions maintain their clean sheet as they march into the quarter-finals with a dominant, though imperfect victory.
