Chennai Super Kings expressed their sentiments with: "Courage in every step. Pride in every heartbeat. Saluting our armed forces."
Royal Challengers Bengaluru also paid tribute, saying: "In this hour of national crisis, we salute the unwavering courage and bravery of our Indian Armed Forces, and pray for the safety of everyone in India. Jai Hind."
The currently suspended Indian Premier League's 16 remaining games can be completed during a 10 to 12 days window in September as the Asia Cup is now uncertain due to the rising armed hostilities between India and Pakistan.
It would be a miracle if Asia Cup, which is supposed to be hosted by India (at a supposedly neutral venue), goes ahead given the raging conflict which was triggered by the killing of 26 people in a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam. Last night, IPL Chairman Arun Dhumal was seen evacuating spectators at Dharamsala, as India-Pakistan tensions heightened and forced the match between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings to be called-off.
The match had started after an hour delay but was halted at 10.1 overs in the first innings due to a floodlight failure, with the other floodlight tower functioning properly.

IPL 2025 players have begun returning home, even though the BCCI has only announced a one-week suspension of the tournament.
According to The Times of India, several overseas players were in “a lot of panic” after Thursday’s match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamsala was called off mid-game due to security concerns. On Friday, the BCCI confirmed the suspension and is now assisting players with travel arrangements.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports that several Australian players are anxious to leave India due to rising security concerns, particularly near border areas. PTI adds that all overseas IPL players now want to head home. Top names like Cummins, Starc, and Hazlewood were involved in the abandoned PBKS-DC match in Dharamshala, raising further alarm.
The inaugural Neeraj Chopra Classic, originally scheduled for May 24, has been postponed indefinitely due to the escalating cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan, the organisers announced on May 9.
