India hit nine spots in Pakistan on Thursday destroying terror infrastructure in retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack where 26 people were killed. Indian retaliation led to shelling from the Pakistani side on the Line of Control where over 10 Indian civilians were killed. The conflict has continued to escalate even as both the countries host their franchise cricket leagues, namely the Indian Premier League and the Pakistan Super League.

On Thursday, PSL game was cancelled before start while the IPL match was abandoned midway as the conflict continued to unfold.

"We continue to closely monitor the situation in Pakistan and India, including obtaining regular advice and updates from the Australian Government, the PCB, BCCI and local government authorities, and maintaining communication with our players and support staff currently in the region," CA said in a statement on Friday morning.

While PSL has been shifted to the United Arab Emirates due to the security situation, a decision on IPL is yet to be taken.

As many as 16 Australians and eight Caribbean players are involved in the IPL. PSL too has many players from these countries.
