As per reports, Mumbai batter Sarfaraz Khan has been hospitalized and is on medication ahead of their crucial Quarter-final match against Karnataka in the Ranji Trophy. As per a journalist report on X, Sarfaraz is down with viral fever and is in doubt for the match.

Early setback for Jharkhand in the match against Uttarakhand, with opener Shikhar Mohan being dismissed for just four runs off 23 balls by Janmejay, caught by Saurabh Rawayt. Manishi comes on as the new batter as Jharkhand are 14/1 in seven overs.
AP has raced to 50/0 in 12 overs, thanks to a blistering start from KS Bharat. Andhra are batting first with India pacer Akash Deep going for plenty in his first few overs.
Karnataka have taken two early wickets of Mumbai in their quarter-final match. Devdutt Padikkal-led side will look for more wickets and put the record champions under pressure. Elsewhere, JHKD have also lost two wickets in their QF match against UTK.
All four Quarter-final matches have seen wickets tumble as bowlers rule the roost on opening day of the Ranji Trophy 2025-26. Mumbai and Jharkhand find themselves three down whereas J&K and Andhra have lost two wickets whilst batting first.
Uttarakhand are right on top against Jharkhand who are reeling at 80/5 with Robin Minz the latest wicket to fall. UTK bowlers are making use of the bowling conditions and Uttarakhand will need to dig deep, if they are to post a respectable total here.

Mumbai are reeling at 79/6 with Prasidh Krishna striking three wickets. Elsewhere, Jharkhand continue to perish with five down against Uttarakhand. Andhra are 144/3 against Bengal and J&K are 79/2 vs MP.
Mohammed Shami has found himself amongst the wicket-taker for the Bengal quicks, as he dismissed C. Gnaneshwar for seven to leave Andhra four down.

Madhya Pradesh bowlers have put Jammu and Kashmir batters under pressure with some tight bowling as the latter find themselves 134-6 at tea. Kuldeep Sen with three wickets for MP.
Ricky Bhui brings up a composed fifty for Andhra, showing calm leadership at the crease. With K. Nithish Kumar Reddy alongside him, the skipper will now look to build on this platform and steer Andhra towards a strong first-innings total.

KL Rahul’s stay ends on 28 as Karnataka lose their first wicket. Looking to charge down and go big over covers, Rahul mistimes the shot and finds the fielder in the deep. A key breakthrough for the bowling side as Devdutt Padikkal walks in to join Mayank Agarwal at the crease.

Jammu and Kashmir’s innings comes to an end at 194 after a promising start fades away. Kuldeep Sen leads the charge with a superb five for 66, tearing through the middle order, while Shubham Khajuria’s fighting 60 stands out as the lone bright spot for J&K.
Jharkhand are bowled out for 235, with Aditya Singh’s gritty 83 and Virat Singh’s 47 providing the backbone of the innings. The bowling side shares the spoils, led by Janmejay Joshi’s four-wicket haul, while Aditya Rawat and Mayank Mishra chip in with three apiece to wrap things up.
Uttarakhand firmly on top after a dominant opening day. Jharkhand found some resistance through Virat Singh and Aditya Singh in the second session, but otherwise it was Uttarakhand’s day, led by Janmejay Joshi with strong support from Mayank Mishra and Aditya Rawat. Uttarakhand close on 4/0, still 231 runs behind.
Honours even after an absorbing opening day as Andhra close on 264/6. Ricky Bhui leads the way with a solid effort, supported well by KS Bharat and Sheikh Rasheed, while Bengal stay in the contest thanks to regular strikes from the pace trio of Mohammad Shami, Akash Deep, and Mukesh Kumar.
Karnataka stay in control despite losing KL Rahul and Devdutt Padikkal. Earlier, Prasidh Krishna and Shreyas Gopal shared three wickets each to bundle Mumbai out for 120, before Mayank Agarwal’s unbeaten fifty put Karnataka firmly in the driving seat at 110/2, just 10 runs behind.
Madhya Pradesh cap a dominant day by reaching stumps unscathed, with Harsh Gawli and Yash Dubey safely seeing them through. Jammu and Kashmir showed early fight, but it unraveled as the day wore on, led by Kuldeep Sen’s five-wicket haul. MP close on 28/0, still 166 runs behind.
