Pakistan Vs England, ICC T20 World Cup 2026 Super 8s: Harry Brook And Co Register 2-Wicket Win
Led by a captain’s masterclass, England became the first team to secure a semi-final berth in the 2026 T20 World Cup after a tense two-wicket win over Pakistan in Pallekele. Chasing 165, the Three Lions overcame a ferocious opening spell from Shaheen Afridi, who dismissed both openers cheaply but thanks to Harry Brook’s breathtaking 50-ball century. England sealed their berth in the semis. Earlier, Sahibzada Farhan’s 63 had guided Pakistan to 164/9, a total that seemed defendable when Mohammad Nawaz sparked a late-innings wobble. However, Jofra Archer kept his cool to strike the winning boundary in the final over, sealing a historic victory. Catch some of the best pictures from the match.
