Salman Mirza foxes Steve Smith with a slower ball to get him caught. However before getting out Steve Smith and Sahibzada Farhan get Multan Sultans off to a flying start in the powerplay. Both the batter forged a run unbeaten opening stand and provided a solid base for the remaining batter to capitalize on.

Mohammad Wasim goes berserk in Karachi and slams Salman Mirza for two sixes and same number of fours to take MS to 192/7 in 20 overs. Wasim blasts 26 runs off just 9 balls and set up a half-century stand with Arafat Minhas (31*) for the 7th wicket to add some valuable last overs runs for MS.

Sameer Minhas fails to give a good start to Islamabad United as Muhammad Ismail gets the better of him. Hard length again from Ismail, doesn't give much room and Minhas tries lofting with a straight bat this time. The ball gets sliced from the bat and the point fielder takes an easy catch. Not a good start from United.

Shadab Khan (22*) and Mark Chapman (16*) stitch an unbeaten 26 runs stand for the fourth wicket. IU are going with a healthy, it's only the wicket column they need to look at. IU still need 93 runs to win in 60 balls.

Just as it was looking that Islamabad United have things under control, Mohammad Wasim sends Shadab Khan packing. ISU lose their 4th wicket and Haider Ali joins Chapman on the crease and he starts his innings with a beautiful six over mid-on.

Mark Chapman seals the match with 6, 4 and 4 and takes Islamabad United into the top two in style. Chapman blasted a sensational 69-run knock off just 33 balls to take his team over the line. ISU have finished in the top two and will face Peshawar Zalmi in the Qualifier 1.
