CSK Vs DC, IPL 2026: Sanju Samson-Craig Overton Star As Chennai Rout Delhi By 23 Runs At Home

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) thumped Delhi Capitals (DC) by 23 runs in match 18 of the Indian Premier League 2026 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Saturday, April 11, 2026.

With this win, CSK bagged their first win of the season and broke the six match losing streak at home.

After being invited to bat first on a batting-friendly Chepauk pitch, CSK batters made full use of the conditions and clobbered DC bowlers to all parts of the ground to post a mammoth 212 runs on the board.

T20 World Cup hero Sanju Samson, who failed in the first three matches, finally found his mojo and slammed his first century for CSK in just 52 balls. He remained unbeaten at 115 and was well-supported by Ayush Mhatre during his innings, who also slammed a well-made 59 runs off 36 balls.

In response, DC got out to a flying start with 61 on board in just 5 overs, but lost wickets in clusters after that and were bundled out at 189 in 20 overs by CSK bowlers, thus winning the match by 23 runs.

Craig Overton was the pick of the CSK bowlers, who scalped four wickets to break the back of DC's batting line-up. Tristan Stubbs showed some fight with his valiant 60 but wasn't able to take his side home.

CSK have now moved onto the 9th spot in the points table, while KKR have slipped to the last.
