PM Narendra Modi To Flag Off 5 Vande Bharat Trains From Bhopal Tomorrow

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be present in Bhopal on Tuesday attending a public programme to flag off five new Vande Bharat trains across the country. Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Bihar and Goa will have one new Vande Bharat Express in each of the states.

Vande Bharat trains on five new routes will be starting on Tuesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to flag off the new trains from Bhopal's Rani Kamalapati Railway Station.

According to the reports, two trains among the five will be launched in Madhya Pradesh, while the three others will be in Karnataka, Bihar and Goa. 

Reportedly the Prime Minister will be attending a public programme organised at Rani Kamalapati Railway Station in Bhopal which will be held at around 10:30 AM on Tuesday.

The five new routes on which the semi-high speed trains would operate are- Rani Kamalapati (Bhopal)-Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express; Khajuraho-Bhopal-Indore Vande Bharat Express; Madgaon (Goa)-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express; Dharwad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express; and Hatia-Patna Vande Bharat Express. With this, the total number of semi-high speed blue-white trains in India would reach 23.

The trains to be launched tomorrow:

The five Vande Bharat trains that Modi will flag off are -- Rani Kamalapati-Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express, Khajuraho-Bhopal-Indore Vande Bharat Express, Madgaon (Goa)-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express, Dharwad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express, and Hatia-Patna Vande Bharat Express.

The Rani Kamalapati-Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express will connect Mahakaushal region (Jabalpur) to the Central region (Bhopal) of Madhya Pradesh.

According to a statement by the Prime Minister's office, tourist places like Bheraghat, Pachmarhi, and Satpura, etc. will also be benefitted by the improved connectivity. IT also said that the train will be about 30 minutes faster than the existing fastest train on the route.

The Khajuraho-Bhopal-Indore Vande Bharat Express will improve the connectivity of the Malwa region (Indore) and Bundelkhand region (Khajuraho) to the Central region (Bhopal) as stated by the PMO.

It will benefit important tourist sites like Mahakaleshwar, Mandu, Maheshwar, Khajuraho and Panna. The train will be about two hours and 30 minutes faster than the existing fastest train on the route, reportedly.

The Madgaon (Goa)-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express will be Goa's first Vande Bharat Express.

It will run between Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Goa's Madgaon station. It will help save about an hour as compared to the current fastest train connecting the two places, as stated by the PMO.

The Dharwad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express will connect important cities in Karnataka -- Dharwad, Hubballi and Davangere -- with the state capital Bengaluru.
It will immensely benefit tourists, students and industrialists, etc. in the region and will be about 30 minutes faster than the existing fastest train on the route, it said.

The Hatia-Patna Vande Bharat Express will be the first Vande Bharat train for Jharkhand and Bihar.

Enhancing connectivity between Patna and Ranchi, the train will be a boon for tourists, students and businessmen, as stated by the PMO.

Compared to the current fastest train connecting the two places, the Hatia-Patna Vande Bharat Express will help save about one hour and 25 minutes of the journey time, reportedly.

According to the reports, the Vande Bharat Express trains are currently operating in 18 routes across India. These express trains are the country's first semi-high-speed trains which are equipped with world-class passenger amenities.
