G20 Accommodations: Guest List Includes Biden, Xi, Rishi Sunak, Macron Amongst Others - Who Is Staying Where?

Besides stringent security measures, extensive power supply arrangements and traffic guidelines, the preparation repertoire also include hotel bookings for the delegates. Over 30 hotels will host the delegates in the course of the event. 

As the national capital is getting all decked up for the upcoming high-profile G20 Summit early next month, India is all set to welcome all the distinguished international leaders and delegates including US President Joe Biden, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Chinese President Xi Jinping, French President Emmanuel Macron and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. 

Besides stringent security measures, extensive power supply arrangements and traffic guidelines, the preparation repertoire also include hotel bookings for the delegates. Over 30 hotels will host the delegates in the course of the event. 

As per media reports, around 23 hotels in Delhi including ITC Maurya, Taj Mansingh, Taj Palace, Hotel Oberoi, Hotel Lalit, The Lodhi, Le Meridien, Hyatt Regency, Shangri-La, Leela Palace, Hotel Ashoka, Eros Hotel, The Surya, Radisson Blu Plaza, JW Marriott, Sheraton, The Leela Ambience Convention, Hotel Pullman, Rosette Hotel and The Imperial will host the delegates.

Moreover in NCR, nine more hotels including The Vivanta (Surajkund), ITC Grand (Gurugram), Taj City Centre (Gurugram), Hyatt Regency (Gurugram), The Oberoi (Gurugram), WestINN (Gurugram), Crown Plaza (Greater Noida) will accommodate the attendees. 

Here's a brief look at who is staying where during the summit.

Joe Biden

As per media reports, President Biden will stay in the ITC Maurya Sheraton. In his service repertoire, secret service commandos will be present on every floor of the hotel. It has been told that a special lift will be installed to take the President to his room on the 14th floor. So far, around 400 rooms have been booked in the hotel to this end. 

Rishi Sunak

For the United Kingdom PM Rishi Sunak, room has been booked at the Shangri-La Hotel.

Emmanuel Macron

President Macron will stay at the Claridges Hotel, and PM Albanese will stay at the Imperial Hotel. 

Justin Trudeau

Before reaching India for G20, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau travelled to Indonesia to participate in the ASEAN summit. He will be staying at The Lalit Hotel.

Anthony Albanese

For the G20 Summit, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will be staying at the Imperial Hotel. His visit to India will be part of a three-nation tour in which he will also be visiting Indonesia and the Philippines.

A host of luxurious hotel rooms have been booked for the official delegates from the member countries as well.

Turkish Delegates

Oberoi Hotel has been booked for the Turkish delegates, while theit counterparts from from Mauritius, Netherlands, Nigeria and Spain will stay in Le Meridien.

Chinese and Brazilian Delegates

The Chinese and Brazilian delegations will stay in Taj Palace.

Indonesian and Australian Delegates

Indonesian and Australian delegations will be put up in the Imperial Hotel.

UK & German Delegates

The delegations from the UK and Germany will be hosted at Shangri-La Hotel, and the Italian and Singaporean delegations will be put up at the Hyatt Regency.

US, Oman, French, Bangladesh Delegates 

The US delegation will be at Maurya Sheraton, Oman delegation in the Lodhi Hotel, the French delegation in Claridges Hotel and the Bangladesh delegation at the Grand Hyatt in Gurugram.

Canadian and Japanese Delegates

The Lalit Hotel will host the Canadian and Japanese delegations, while the Oberoi Gurugram will host the Korean delegation. The Egyptian delegation will be accommodated at ITC Sheraton in Saket, the Saudi Arabian delegation in the Leela Hotel in Gurugram and the UAE delegation in the Taj Mahal Hotel in Delhi.
