Donald Trump Posts Photo With His Face On Rocky's Muscular Body, Sends Twitter Into Laugh Riot

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday posted a doctored photograph with his face superimposed on Rocky Balboa's, without any caption or explanation. The fictional boxer was played onscreen by veteran actor Sylvester Stallone.

The image shows the 6.3 ft, 243-pound President, with a combative look pasted over an image of Stallone’s ripped body, gloved fists at the ready and a championship belt around his waist.

Doctored images of the president, with a rather controversial personality, regularly do rounds on social media. But this is the first time he himself posted such a picture. 

British broadcast journalist Piers Morgan retweeted Trump's post with two laughing emoticons. This, in turn, was retweeted by the President.

Later, Morgan said, "Fairly sure I’ve just become the first person in history to have the President of the United States retweet two laughing emojis."

Comedy writer and producer Nick Jack Pappas underlined a basic difference between Rocky and Trump: "This is all wrong. Rocky defeated Russia, while Trump continues to hand them victories."

Someone pointed out the virtual self vs reality side by posting one of Trump's out of shape real image beside the buffed-up body of Rocky.

This Twitter user did a meme drawing a distinction between how Trump's followers saw him against the rest of the world.

As people speculated on social media about what prompted the US President to post the photo, Trump may have been trying to imply that he was a fighter even as Impeachment hearing is underway.

On November 26, Trump tweeted: "The D.C. Wolves and Fake News Media are reading far too much into people being forced by Courts to testify before Congress. I am fighting for future Presidents and the Office of the President..."
