The Delhi police on Sunday arrested a man for the murder of a 45-year-old man shot dead in a crowded street last week. 

The incident was captured on film. The victim, Raees Ansari, a real estate agent in north Delhi's Jafrabad, was approached by two masked men with children skating in the background. The two men can be seen having a conversation with Ansari while he cleaned his scooter. 

Immediately, one of the masked men brandishes a gun and tries to shoot Ansar in the head. The victim puts up a fight and is later seen being chased by the two assailants, all of whom step beyond the surveillance camera's vision.

Ansari was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital later.

The police arrested one of the killers, 19-year-old Mohd Umar, a resident of Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh, on Friday evening. He said that Rahees Ansari was apprehended in someone's murder, who lived in Jafrabad itself in 2010, Umar said upon interrogation. Ansari was later acquitted of the crime as witnessed turned hostile.

Mohd Umar along with associates Wasim, Shah Nawaz, and Faizan plotted revenge. 

The police said that efforts are being made to catch the second masked men in the murder of Raees Ansari.
