Ford has given the Endeavour some mild updates for the year 2019. In the process, it has played around with the variant lineup, prices, features and transmission options too. Priced from Rs 28.19 lakh to 32.97 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the 2019 Ford Endeavour is available in a choice of two variants- Titanium and Titanium+. But which one makes sense for you? Let’s find out.

Ford Endeavour Titanium: Advisable for manual buyers only
Exteriors: HID headlamps with LED DRLs, power adjustable and foldable ORVMs with integrated turn signals and puddle lamp, chrome on the radiator grille, front fender and door handles, 18-inch alloy wheels, front and rear skid plates, roof rails, rear spoiler with LED tail lamps.
Interiors: Leather wrapped seats, steering and gear knob, steel scuff plates for front, front armrest with storage and rear armrest with cupholders, illuminated and lockable glove box, second row 60:40 split seats get slide and reclining function, whereas the third row can be 50:50 flat folded.
Convenience: Auto headlamps and wipers, push-button start/stop, tyre pressure monitoring system, 8-way power adjustable driver seat, dual-zone climate control, multi-function steering wheel, tilt-adjustable steering wheel and all power windows.
Audio: 8-inch SYNC3 touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, active noise cancellation, voice command and 10-speaker system with subwoofer and amplifier.
Should you buy one?
While the Titanium is an entry-level variant, it doesn’t compromise much on features and quality, and therefore, it is worth considering. However, it is only recommended if you're eyeing the manual variant without 4x4 as the Rs 2.5 lakh price difference for the automatic is on the higher side.
For those eyeing the automatic variant of the Endeavour 2.2, we think it makes sense to stretch your budget by another ~Rs 2 lakh (over 2.2 AT) and get the top Titanium+ variant which will not only get you extra features but also a bigger and more powerful engine.
Coming back to the Endeavour 2.2 Titanium MT, it has a smaller engine that is rated to deliver better fuel efficiency than the bigger 3.2-litre unit. And the manual transmission will only help this cause.
But the most important question here is, does it make sense to trade the convenience of an automatic for better mileage when buying a car as large (and premium) as the Endeavour? Simply put, though this variant is loaded with enough goodies for buyers to consider it, we would recommend the next variant, the Endeavour Titanium+ 4x4 3.2AT.
Ford Endeavour Titanium+:
Interiors: Soft-touch dashboard with ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof.
Convenience: 8-way power adjustable front passenger seat, power folding third row, semi-auto parallel parking assist, one-touch up/down with anti-pinch for all windows.
Safety: Knee airbag, front parking sensors, electrochromic IRVM and hill descent control.
Off Road: Terrain management system.
Should you buy one?
This is the variant with the bigger 3.2-litre, 5-cylinder diesel engine which churns out 40PS more power and 85Nm more torque and comes with 4X4 capability. Apart from the bigger and more powerful engine, you also get more features in this variant, and the add-ons justify the Rs 2.37 lakh incremental cost too. And hence, we would recommend the Endeavour 3.2AT Titanium+.
