Language Classes
  • Although immersion works best, many of us like to learn a language in a class, so take your pick from these institutions. The Ghalib Academy offers an Urdu Certificate Course "to keep the young generation in touch with Urdu."

  • The Delhi Government also provides classes through the Urdu Academy. Where B-Block, 5-Sham Nath Marg. Contact 23830635
  • Delhi University has plenty of Urdu options. From its Department of Urdu, you can earn an advanced diploma in one year, a bachelor’s degree in three, a master’s in two, or a Ph.D. in two. Contact 27666627, 27667725, or 27661303

Calligraphy
  • Nearly anyone can write in cursive, but doing calligraphy is an art form. For formal classes, you can attend the Ghalib Academy’s Calligraphy Training Centre or Decorative Calligraphy Training Centre. Where Basti Hazrat, Nizamuddin

Entertainment
  • The Urdu Academy does a lot to promote Urdu culture, offering things like monthly magazines, book fairs, mushairas, drama festivals, and theatre workshops for children. Where: B-Block, 5-Sham Nath Marg. Contact 23830729 or 23830635
