Narendra Modi

Narendra Damodardas Modi is the 14th prime minister of India and has been spearheading the BJP-led Centre since 2014. Previously, from 2001 to 2014, he served as the chief minister of Gujarat. PM Modi is the Member of Parliament (MP) from Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi constituency. PM Modi is the member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Replacing Keshubhai Patel, he was placed as the chief minister of Gujarat in October, 2001 while in February, 2002 he entered the Gujarat state legislature after victory in a by-election. The prime-ministerial chapter of Narendra Modi's political career began in 2014 following a landslide victory of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the Lok Sabha elections. In 2019, his second term as the prime minister began after another big win of the NDA. With this, in 2020, PM Modi achieved the feat of being the fourth longest-serving prime minister of India.
