Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has implemented ‘Mukhyamantri Seekho-Kamao Yojana’ to teach skills for employment on the lines of learn and earn for the youth of the state. Youth will be given stipend with skill training in the service sector along with industries. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that it is our resolve that the youth will not be left unemployed. For this purpose, a new scheme is being implemented to teach the youth skills for employment. Along with learning skills, the youth will also be paid. Companies and service sector will be linked for skill training. The new scheme is a scheme to give wings to the youth by increasing their capacity, so that they can fly high in the open sky and they get new opportunities for employment, progress and development.

Stipend to trainees
In ‘Mukhya Mantri Seekho-Kamao Yojana’, an initial target has been set to make one lakh youth skilled in 703 identified areas, which can be increased as per the requirement. In the scheme, 18 to 29 year old local residents of Madhya Pradesh, 5th to 12th pass youth will get a stipend of Rs 8 thousand, ITI pass will get Rs. 8 thousand 500, diploma holders Rs. 9 thousand and graduate or higher educational qualification youth will be given Rs. 10 thousand stipend per month. 75 percent of the stipend fixed by the state government will be paid to the trainees through DBT. 25 percent of the minimum stipend fixed by the concerned establishments will have to be deposited in the bank account of the trainees. Establishments will be free to give stipend more than the prescribed amount if they wish to.

Registration process
The registration of the training institutions under the scheme will start from June 7 and the registration of the youth will start from June 15. The placement of the youth will begin from July 15. There will be a contract between the state government and the training institutions on July 31. Under the scheme, youth will be given training from August 1.
PAN and GST registration will be mandatory for the establishments identified in the scheme. Establishments can train trainees up to 15 per cent of their total workforce. The total work force of the establishments in which at least 20 people are regularly employed, will be calculated on the basis of EPF deposits. Stipend will be given to the youth for one year.
An Empowered Committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary under the ‘Mukhya Mantri Seekho-Kamao Yojana’. Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary of Finance, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, Micro, Small and Medium Industries, Labour, Higher Education have been nominated as Member Secretary. The Principal Secretary of Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment will be the Member Secretary of the Committee.
Identified work area
Under the scheme, 703 work areas have been identified for training the youth. This includes Manufacturing Sector, Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Management, Marketing, Hotel Management, Tourism, Tribal, Hospital, Railway, IT Sector, Software Development, Banking, Insurance, Accounts, Chartered Accountant, Media, Arts, Law and Legal Services establishments working in education, training, service sector etc. have been included.
