WhatsApp Chats Reveal Monu Manesar's Connection With Lawrence Bishnoi's Gang: Rajasthan Police

Cow Vigilante and Bajrang Dal member Mohit Yadav alias Monu Manesar who is currently in judicial custody for abducting and killing two Muslim men in Bhiwani, was pursuing to join gangster Lawrence Bishnoi as revealed from the accused’s WhatsApp exchange with the gang’s senior member, as stated by  Rajasthan Police Officials. 

“Yadav  was in touch with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother Anmol Bishnoi on WhatsApp, and regularly exchanged messages with him. His chats with Anmol disclosed he wanted to join the Bishnoi gang”  a Rajasthan Police Officer said. “Since both were cow vigilantes, they wanted to work together” he added.

Hindustan Times reached out to Nuh superintendent of police Narendra Bijarniya but he refused to comment on any development. However, a senior Haryana Police Officer confirmed that they had come across WhatsApp chats between Yadav and Anmol Bishnoi, establishing that both were in touch. “Since Rajasthan Police is probing the case, they have all the content of the chat,” he said. 

Monu is involved in the alleged abduction, assault and murder of two muslim men- Junaid, 35, and Nasir, 25, whose charred bodies were found in a car in Haryana’s Bhiwani district. Monu was then booked by the Rajasthan Police , in connection with the murders committed by alleged cow protection gangs. Monu is also accused of inciting the communal clashes in Nuh on July 31, in which mobs attacked a religious procession organised by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal. The clashes caused 6 casualties, and 88 injured and spilled over into neighbouring districts and cities including Gurugram. Monu was picked up by the Haryana Police on September 12 and was later handed over to the Rajasthan Police after it obtained a transit remand from a court in Nuh. According to the police, Anmol Bishnoi is in the US.
